Spilt Milk Event - Green Point Cricket Club 2018
Mackenzie Hoy Consulting Engineer were congratulated by the Green Point Ratepayers’ and Residents’ Association for completing a very successful noise control implementation of the Spilt Milk Event held at the Green Point Cricket Club on the 1st September 2018 from 12 PM until 12 AM.
Below is the e-mail sent by Brenda King of GPRRA to Terry Mackenzie-Hoy the Principal Engineer of the company.
“Dear Tchavdar and Terry ,
On behalf of all the Green Point and Mouille Point Residents
we would like to express our deep gratitude for the tremendous
job done on Saturday. Your event did not disturb any resident
nor did we get a single complaint given that the event was 12
hours of music.
We are not sure how you did it but hopefully now that you have
proved twice, once at the A track and now at the Cricket Club,
that the sound levels necessary for a fantastic function can
be achieved and not affect the Residents.
We wish that the City would call upon your expertise in the future
on more events, and prove that it might not necessary to add more
speakers in the Stadium as the noise pollution for Residents is
already bad on the soccer matches. Maybe there are other solutions?
Looking forward to working with you again and may you have many
more great events.
Best wishes,
Brenda King
