The Project |
|
Another first was achieved by Mackenzie Hoy Consulting Engineers during our measurement survey in the Republic of Congo in and around the site for the Sintoukola Potash area. We successfully completed measurements using our QUAND(c) methodology. The system uses a minimum of four simultaneous noise monitors over a minimum 24 hour period and across a 10 km2 area. To our knowledge this is the largest number of simultaneous noise monitors ever to be used for noise measurement in Africa and can be considered a world-leading benchmark for noise monitoring protocol. The project is for a new potash mine to be located in the Sintoukola area of Republic of Congo. Included in the modelling aspects of the project was the mine, haulage roads (approximately 35 km – arguable the largest road noise map completed in Africa) and coastal process plant. The completed mine and infrastructure will be completed in the next few years. |
